S01E17: Twisted TrailsGene and Pat are searching for a masked gang, when they find rancher, Mac Forbes, and old friend of Gene's is dying. He has willed his share of the rancer to his partner, Tom Lawton. After hearing this, Jeff Forbes, Mac's black sheep nephew tries to claim the ranch for himself. Jeff ambushed and killed Tom, but plays innocent to Gene. After Tom recovers from paralyzation, he tries to shoot Jeff. Gene allows Jeff to leave, who runs to his prartner in crime to kill Tom and claim the ranch. Gene follows and stops them in the nick of time.
